legado_robBased in Zimbabwe, Rob has 25 years experience with community based natural resource management in southern Africa, particularly Mozambique and Zimbabwe. Rob has worked extensively in technical inputs towards policy development, planning and implementation of community based natural resource management and conservation projects, including state protected areas and community conservation areas and varying in scale from local to regional initiatives. He holds a BSc in Botany and Zoology, from University of Cape Town, South Africa and  a MSc in Tropical Resource Ecology from Dept. of Biological Sciences, University of Zimbabwe.

With training in biological sciences coupled with extensive sociological field experience, he brings a particularly appropriate set of skills for working at the complex intersection between conservation and rural livelihoods and development.
