Osman is a specialist in scaling impact & innovation, organizational strategy, and financing. He has extensive experience in both private and public sector roles across Pakistan, Sub-Saharan Africa, and beyond. His prior work includes technologically driven agriculture extension & food security, human capital development, and financial participation, prioritizing decentralization of knowledge and agency. 

Examples of past work include building impact and consumer insight departments in private equity funds, developing financing on improved national electrification, co-designing results-based financing programs with governments, philanthropists, and the private sector for poverty alleviation, and scaling multi-country technologies for merchants and farmers, including access to knowledge on farming practices, farmer-centric real-time weather advisory, and market information.

Osman held leadership roles at organizations like Innovations for Poverty Action, Instiglio, Arifu, and Nexleaf Analytics. He co-built departments within impact-focused companies such as LeapFrog Investments, Abraaj Group, and The Citizen’s Foundation.

Osman holds a Masters’ in Development Economics from Harvard Kennedy School and a BA in Economics and Finance from McGill University.
