José Tinta

José Tinta is a Mozambican anthropologist and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) specialist with experience in project management, field operations, and community-led development. He joined Legado in April 2025 as our Namuli Program Manager in Mozambique. He is also currently pursuing master’s degrees in Project Management and Monitoring & Evaluation. José is the author of an eBook and a professional training course on M&E, and he also creates educational content on the topic for his YouTube channel.
He has worked with both national and international organizations, including UNHCR, Save the Children, NCBA CLUSA, World Vision, Solidarités International, and N’weti, focusing on humanitarian response, food security, protection, education, and health. As a consultant, José has supported M&E systems and evaluations for organizations such as SATTIS, Sentipensar, Ecogreen Spaces, and Innovation and Solutions LDA, and has provided individual mentorship in M&E to early-career professionals.
He brings strong expertise in data analysis, participatory methodologies, and institutional coordination. Passionate about community-driven impact, José is committed to building holistic, sustainable solutions.
